In this selective design on The Brother's Grimm's fairy tale The Glass Coffin, I focused on The Magician and his domain.

The half scale model represents only one phase of The Magician's costumes. From the moment of his arrival in the Royal Palace, he wears a nondescript black coat. As he slowly gains power over the kingdom and sheds his disguise, his coat grows and reveals the crystalline pyramids that reflect the cave he comes from.

The set would ultimately reveal The Magician's crystal cave where the glass coffin sits. However, just as the coat, the foundation is there from the beginning. Similar crystalline pyramids would be set under a clear surface and their glow would increase in the same as the magic, ultimately creating the encompassing presence of The Magician.
